Are you an engaged accountant who wants to work close to the operations and contribute to a sustainable economy in the welfare sector? Filipstad Municipality is now looking for an accountant for the Social Services Administration – a central and developmental role where you will have the opportunity to work both operationally and strategically together with managers and operations.

As an accountant supporting the Social Services Administration, you are a qualified support to the administration's managers in economic matters. You work closely with budget holders and contribute with analysis, follow-up, and forecasts that create good decision-making foundations. The position involves significant independent responsibility where you independently drive the economic work for your administration, while also being part of the municipality's economic unit and collaborating with other accountants.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work with ongoing economic follow-up where you analyze the operations' results and contribute to creating structure and clarity in the economic work. You have an active role in the budgeting process, where you together with the operations plan, compile, and follow up on the budget, as well as create conditions for good economic management. You prepare materials for reporting and participate in the work with interim and annual accounts, contributing to ensuring correct and quality-assured accounting.

You work proactively to identify trends and areas for development in the economy and contribute with solution-oriented perspectives that strengthen the operations' prerequisites. Through close collaboration with colleagues within both economics and operations, you help create a stable foundation for continued development, where the economic work becomes a natural support in the daily operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university degree in economics or another education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience of qualified economic work, preferably from the public sector, and a good ability to analyze and interpret economic relationships. You also have very good knowledge of Excel.

It is an advantage if you have experience of municipal operations and understanding of work in a politically governed organization.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be structured and meticulous, have good communication skills, and be able to explain economic relationships in a pedagogical way. You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, while also finding it easy to collaborate with managers and colleagues.
